About Us

Paradis Honey Ltd. is a family owned business that has been in beekeeping for several generations.  The current owners are the seventh generation and own and operate 3,500 colonies. During the off season, we have a commercial beeswax rendering facility which has been in operation for over 50 years and is continually updated.

We are located in the Peace River, Alberta Canada region which is known for its vast fields of clover, its long warm summer days and cool summer nights. With this combination, it produces a fabulously high quality “water white” honey.

Our vision has always been to produce honey and beeswax “as the bees made it”. The honey is not processed other than being extracted from the honeycomb. The beeswax is 100% pure beeswax with no additives such as paraffins or fillers.  Great care is taken to keep it in its natural state. Every year we receive many guests who wish to view our facility and see “first hand” how we process our products to ensure they are receiving top quality honey, beeswax, and pollen.

We have a reputation of being a dependable supplier of high quality honey, beeswax, pollen and offer great service to our customers, large or small, new or established.

Michael Paradis is the seventh generation beekeeper. This was his job of choice as a child growing up in the family business. As soon as he could walk, he was in the bees!!! Michael brings many years of experience as well as “generational” experience from family members. His expertise is in the everyday management of the business and has mastered the “art” of melting beeswax.

Lise Paradis married into the business in 1990 and is responsible in queen grafting, office administration and marketing of honey, beeswax and pollen sales.

Jean Luc (John) Paradis is the sixth generation and is responsible in queen grafting, marketing honey, beeswax and pollen sales. Also his long-term knowledge of bees is invaluable.

Tyler Paradis is the “upcoming” eighth generation and is in training to take over the family business when the time arises.
